The high-performance Pro-Scan hand-held scanner is designed to meet the exact requirements of the security industry. Typical uses include body searches for offensive weapons in crowd control, general airport and border security, and metal detection in parcels and letters.

Metal detection is indicated by an audible warning tone and visible red light - sensitivity is adjustable, as specified below.

  • A .38 Caliber hand gun can be detected at 7-3/4" on low sensitivity, 11" on optimum sensitivity.
  • A pen knife can be detected at 4" on low sensitivity, 6" on optimum sensitivity.
  • A razor blade can be detected at 2" on low sensitivity, 4" on optimum sensitivity.

    Pro-Scan operates on one 9-volt alkaline or rechargeable battery.
